There is a typical French bar/restaurant which will supply you with drinks and local traditional food such as tartiflette. You can get anything from a slap-up meal to an ice-cream, takeaway meals and sandwiches. They can also provide you with rental of sheets & bikes. Fresh bread is stocked daily as well as a range of basic foodstuffs and maps. Ask nicely, and they seem to provide most things! A
pizzeria & creperie is open during the ski season. There is also a tennis court. There are plans to add a restaurant & bar, mini market and some shops.

17' drive or bus shuttle to the Portes du soleil domain (Morzine or Chatel) and its 400 miles of pistes between France and Switzerland.

Portes Du Soleil is the largest skiing area in the world offering 650km of mountainous terrain, climbing from 1000m to 2466m, boasting 279 slopes and 204 lifts between France and Switzerland. The skiing area is comprised of 12 linked resorts that can be accessed with a single ski pass. All levels of ski/snowboarding are catered for.
Additionally, paragliding, snowmobiles, helicopter rides, hot air balloons, ice diving, sleigh riding, sledging and skating are all available within 20-30 minutes of the Chalet.

For a quieter moment, the Vallée d’Aulps also offers walks on nature trails and the possibility

Paragliding
Accompanied paragliding flights with an instructor: in winter the take-off is much easier: just « ski-off » the top of the mountain. Think about booking the day before…

Access
You can fly to Geneva and transfer under an hour'. Alternatively you could drive from Calais in 9/10 hours on excellent motorways and although snow chains should be carried, it is unlikely they will be required to access the resort. There is a third transport alternative, Eurostar to Paris and then TGV to Geneva which is a high-speed rail possibility!
